Music has always been part of how people connect, express, and grow.
"Let's create music together to support your goals."
- Amy Foley, MMT, LPMT, MT-BC
The power of music-centered experiences.
Music is already part of so many meaningful moments in our lives.
It helps us celebrate, connect, process emotions, express ourselves, build confidence, learn new skills, and feel grounded during difficult seasons.
Music therapy and therapeutic music lessons build on those experiences in intentional and personalized ways to support communication, creativity, emotional wellness, cognitive skills, relationship building, and more.
What you begin to notice.
Music becomes something participants genuinely look forward to each week.
Confidence grows through trying new things, expressing creativity, building skills, and experiencing success in ways that feel encouraging and enjoyable.
Families often notice more participation, self-expression, communication, independence, emotional awareness, creativity, and moments of connection carrying into everyday life.
And sometimes, it’s the small moments that mean the most:
◆ Requesting a favorite song that brings joy
◆ Joining in with others
◆ Expressing a feeling through music
◆ Learning something new
◆ Seeing someone light up while making music
Why Heartstring Melodies?
We genuinely love what we do and we genuinely love music.
Our team of licensed and board certified music therapists has experience supporting a wide range of ages, abilities, diagnoses, communities, and settings, and we’re pretty creative when it comes to adapting experiences to the people in front of us.
No two participants, groups, or sessions look exactly the same and honestly, that’s one of our favorite parts of this work.
We are honored to support our Northwest Ohio community and participants virtually across the country through something that has supported us throughout our own lives too: music.
Music therapy may be covered by some insurance plans on a case by case basis.
We are happy to help check benefits or provide documentation you can submit for possible reimbursement.
Most participants choose to move forward as a private pay service or seek funding through local agencies.
If you have questions about payment options, we are happy to walk you through your options during your consultation.
