Emotional Wellness & Regulation
In-person music therapy and therapeutic music lessons in Findlay, Toledo, and Northwest Ohio, and virtually across the United States.
Work with us to learn strategies to use music when life is overwhelming.
Helping emotions feel easier to express.
Music can create space for people to process big feelings, explore self-expression, build confidence, and experience moments of comfort, creativity, and joy even during difficult seasons of life.
Some participants use music to help calm their bodies, express emotions they do not yet have words for, work through challenges, strengthen coping skills, or simply reconnect with parts of themselves.
Through singing, playing an instrument, movement, songwriting, and shared musical experiences, participants are supported in building emotional awareness, resilience, self-expression, and tools they can carry with them outside of session.
What starts to feel lighter
A tough transition goes smoother.
Someone starts asking for their “calm down song” on their own.
A child who usually hangs back joins in, gets silly, or surprises everyone with how much they participate.
More tools, more flexibility, and more moments that feel lighter along the way.
Families often begin noticing more confidence, emotional awareness, independence, and small wins that slowly start adding up in everyday life.
Why Heartstring Melodies?
We use music to support emotional expression and regulation in a way that is active, creative, and personal. Instead of forcing someone to talk before they are ready, we create music experiences where emotions can be expressed, heard, and worked through.
Because when your brain is overwhelmed or your body is already reacting. Music gives you a way to process, express, and settle without needing the perfect words first.
Sessions are flexible and built around what actually helps you feel more steady in your day to day life, not just in the room.
